Former Fuel Filling Station. Demolition of above ground structures, removal of tanks, remediation of contaminated land and groundwater.
Site investigations had accurately detailed the conditions and the impact of hydrocarbon contamination in the soils, along with perched water and to the underlying aquiter. Further investigation identified that off-site migration had not occurred.
The remediation plan consisted of deep well pump and treat of the aquifer followed by low level chemical oxidation treatment and a separate dual phase abstraction scheme of contaminated soil and separate perdied groundwater.
Validation testing allowed planning conditions to be discharged and construction on site to begin.
