Stuart Group Ltd specialises in the power generation market. We are an authorised dealer for FG Wilson branded products manufactured by Caterpillar powered by Perkins engines and have been for over 30 years. We supply spares worldwide and are the largest spares dealer worldwide.


Internal Sales - Shropham


This person will be joining a very well-established team that leads the UK market in their product range. We offer market-leading products to our customers and therefore enjoy repeat business both in the UK and overseas.

You will efficiently respond to incoming enquiries and order processing, whilst building a rapport with customers.

Working hours 42hrs, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Sales Manager your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Taking enquiry via phone or emails.
  • Production of quotations and supporting data sheets.
  • Converting enquiries to sales orders.
  • Good knowledge of order processing (Sage).
  • Logging all enquiries from order to invoice.
  • Working in a department with specialised products-other products different teams.

About your attributes:

  • Past sales experience would be an advantage.
  • Some engineering or mechanical knowledge would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • Enjoy the challenge of winning orders with a good presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills-PC skills-Microsoft.
  • Able to learn and enjoy the products we offer.

Generator Sales Engineer - Shropham


The Stuart Group is the leading and largest stockist of FG Wilson Generators in the UK along with offering used products from all the major manufacturers Caterpillar, Cummins etc. due to business growth, we are actively seeking to expand our sales team.

The suitable applicant should be used to working in a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering environment and we are interested in hearing from applicants, but while not limited to, that are already working in a similar office-based environment or role.

The suitable applicant will be punctual, have a methodical approach and be capable of working to deadlines.

Knowledge or experience working with diesel driven power generators and the associated systems i.e. fuel storage, fuel transfer systems, exhaust and ventilation systems and electrical cabling installation will be advantageous.

Task specific training and support will be given in order for the successful candidate to carry out the role as expected.

Working hours are 08.30 -17.30 Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Sales Manager your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Taking, logging and detailing with customer enquiries.
  • Project managing the sale from acceptance of order to delivery.
  • Using Sage to produce delivery paperwork.
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained.

Pump Sales Engineer - Shropham


Stuart Group is the largest stockist of pumps in the UK. We are agents or distributors for the leading brands. We work with the civil engineering, quarries, and industrial sectors. We offer a range of pumping equipment from 50 to 300mm in both diesel and electrical-powered products. We stock most of the associated accessories needed for pumping needs. We stock many used and refurbished pumps so we are able to meet most client’s needs. We not only work within the UK and many of our sales are international.

The suitable applicant should be used to working in a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering environment. We are interested in hearing from applicants, but not limited to, that are already working in a similar office-based environment or role.

The suitable applicant will be punctual, have a methodical approach and be capable of working to deadlines.

Knowledge or experience working with pumps and the associated systems i.e., flow calculators, head loss, knowledge of fluid dynamics.

Task-specific training and support will be given for the successful candidate to carry out the role as expected for the markets we work with. You may have worked in irrigation which is a great skill set to have.

Working hours are 08.30 -17.30 Monday to Friday (30 minute lunch break).

Reporting to the Sales Manager your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Taking, logging and detailing customer enquiries.
  • Producing quotations and following up.
  • Managing the sale from acceptance of order to delivery.
  • Reasonable computer skills.
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained.

Builders Labourer - Shropham


We have an exciting opportunity within our company for a Builders Labourer at our Head Office in Shropham.

You will be working with a multi-skilled builder working and learning many trades including bricklaying, rendering, drainage, carpentry, and all general building work. During the summer months, this will include property maintenance, gardening, and painting.

You will be physically fit and able to undertake these works and be able to demonstrate an adaptable attitude to work and duties given to you. You will be working with the builder and then be expected to work alone at times.

All work is at Shropham or Attleborough and being able to get to and from here will be your responsibility.

You will be on a 2-year fixed-term contract with an option to terminate or extend by either party.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday 08.00 to 17.00

Mechanical Pump Fitter - Shropham


Stuart Group Ltd specialises in the pump and generator industry. We are an authorised dealer for FG Wilson and Godwin branded products manufactured by Xylem Water Solutions.

Due to sustained growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Pump Fitter to undertake the following duties:

  • Fabricating.
  • Welding.
  • Stripping & re-building pumps.
  • Stripping & re-building generators.
  • Assembly of new equipment.
  • Engine repairs / assembly.
  • Testing.
  • Field repairs / warranty approx. 60% workshop based.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Previous experience within the Plant / Generator / Pump Hire Industry.
  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work on your own initiative.

Hours of work are 8:00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
