Skilled Electrical Engineer - Shropham


We are recruiting for a Skilled Electrical Engineer to join our busy workshop team.

The position is primarily based at our head office in Shropham, however some travel will be required when necessary for service, maintenance and emergency breakdown calls throughout the UK. As we provide to the Service Industry, some early starts and late finishes may occur from time to time you will also be required to be on our call-out rota.

Duties include the repair and maintenance of generators, control panels and associated switchgear, distribution boards, cables and electrical pumps. Also checking cables on return from hire.

Desirable skills would be experience of 3 phase work, 3 phase starter panels, dc control panels and distributor units but training will be provided.

Hours of work:

  • 40 hours per week, working between 08.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday.

HGV Class 1 Driver / Semi-Skilled Engineer - Shropham


We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Company for an HGV Class 1 Driver / Semi-Skilled Engineer based at our Head Office in Shropham.

The role will include delivery driving, loading / unloading of lorries as well as carrying out service and maintenance repairs on our rental fleet of diesel powered generators, pumps and lighting towers fulfilling our excellent service standards.

This position offers full time employment working Monday to Friday (40 hours basic) with optional overtime. A flexible approach to hours would be required due to the occasional night out and weekend work required from time to time. This is minimal and subject to hours worked under the Working Time Directive.

Required for this role:

  • HGV1 licence.
  • Digital Tacograph Card (being fully compliant with Tacograph and break requirements at all times).
  • Driver’s CPC Qualification Card.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines.
  • Professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • Strong commitment towards safe working practices.

Desirable but not essential as training will be provided:

  • ADR experience.
  • Hiab experience.
  • Mechanical experience.
  • Experience of working with generators.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Processing Invoices.
  • Dealing with queries, by both phone and written correspondence.
  • Liaising with customers and internal departments regarding returns / shortages.
  • Management of fuel contracts.
  • Checking purchase orders.
  • General admin duties within the rental team.

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a rental / plant environment would be preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with both internal and external employees / suppliers.

We are currently seeking a Workshop Supervisor for our Head Office at Shropham.

This role involves being responsible for overseeing all Engineers at the depot and the checking and control of paperwork, along with allocation of plant for hire and Engineers jobs, whilst fulfilling our excellent service standards at all times.

This position is full time and is very much a hands-on role whilst leading a team. Flexibility in respect of working hours is expected as is an availability to work the companies on call out of hour’s rota.

Required for this role:

Due to sustained growth, we have an exciting new position within our successful After Market Sales Team for a Stores Person.

Duties will include, but not limited to, receiving goods into the stores, picking and packing products for dispatch, data entry of stock, stock taking for maintaining product levels, and assisting the sales team with purchasing of products if required.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

Trainee Project Engineer - Shropham


Due to business growth, we are actively seeking to expand our Generator installation team with the addition of a Trainee Project Engineer.

The suitable applicant will be from a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering background and we are interested equally, in hearing from applicants currently in a ‘hands-on-tools’ role looking for the next stage in their career, as well as applicants already working in a similar office-based environment or role.

The suitable applicant will be punctual, have a methodical approach and be capable of working to deadlines.

Knowledge or experience working with diesel driven power generators and the associated systems i.e. Fuel storage, fuel transfer systems, exhaust and ventilation systems and electrical cabling installation will be advantageous.

Task specific training and support will be given in order for the successful candidate to carry out the role as expected.

Reporting to the Project Manager your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Site visits to determine customer requirements.
  • Provide estimates, quotations and tender bids to customer requirements including provision of supporting documentation.
  • Engagement with clients and stakeholders through Project lifecycle.
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Use of CAD software to review and amend technical drawings.
  • Procurement and allocation of materials to Engineering team on and off site.
  • Processing orders, invoicing and applications for payment.
