Geoseal™ is a special grouting clay that provides excellent bore hole sealing yet is easy to mix and use, giving a conductivity of 0.68 watts/m/oC when mixed in water or up to 1.86 watts/m/oC when mixed with sand - see table below.
Geoseal™ has a low swell and slow yield with no flash set, making it ideal for use in Geothermal and sub soil sealing as it has a long working time and can be mixed easily using a wide variety of paddle or cyclone mixers and can be pumped using either a moving diaphragm or piston pump.
Geoseal™ provides excellent bore-hole sealing and fluid loss control, with long term stability and resistance to drying and because it remains plastic it will deform as the land moves and still maintain an excellent seal on the loop.
| Water - Litres | kg Geoseal | kg Sand | Final Vol - Litres | Conductivity - watts/m/oC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 120 | 40 | 136 | 0.65-0.68 | |
| 80 | 20 | 200-225* | 168-178 | 1.64-1.86 |
| 880 | 2950 | 1000 | 0.65-0.68 | |
| 470 | 120 | 1190* | 1000 | 1.64-1.86 |
Note:Quantities are quite critical and for best results the water should be accurately measured into the mixer. Geoseal clay should be added evenly but quickly to water, followed by the sand, and then the grout pumped immediately. Geoseal clay will not flash set, but the mixed grout will get thicker if left mixing, and if necessary small amounts of extra water may be added. *Sand quantity may be varied within the range given for ease of pumping, and the final conductivity depends on the type and quantity of sand used. Consult your Geoseal representative for further information on sand selection and mixing.

A specially formulated blend of OPC, Bentontite and GGBS specifically designed for ease of mixing to provide excellent sealing and a hard but not brittle final grout what exhibits lower shrinkage and lower heat of reaction than regular bentonite/opc grouts.
KM Ready Grout can be used for general purpose grouting to provide a cut off between different strata or to provide a highly impermeable ground barrier that is slightly plastic and which if required can be cut or drilled out easily.
KM Ready Grout comes ready to mix in water and requires no special plant. It also exhibits slow setting time, good pumpability / workability and low bleed so it is easy to place and will not flash set.
