Long serving Service Manager Rod Tebble, who has been with the Stuart Group for over 25 years, was on hand to rescue Peterborough's Premier Sports Bar's outdoor screening of Englands recent world cup match vs Germany in South Africa.
Hundreds of fans had purchased tickets for the Sports Lounge's screening, powered by one of our competitor's generators. When they experienced a generator failure less than an hour before the big kick-off, they were unable to contact the hirer.
Through sales engineer Ralph Addison, the customer was put in contact with Rod Tebble, who diagnosed the fault and advised on resolving the problem over the phone.
Power was restored just five minutes before the big kick-off – averting the potentially dangerous situation of several hundred fans desperately seeking alternative public locations in which to watch the match.
Ralph commented "This is why it's advisable to hire equipment for crucial applications from a specialist hirer such as ourselves – we offer a full 24/7 back-up service – and in this instance it wasn’t even our own equipment on site."
